I’ve been writing for - and editing - magazines since 1981, mainly covering all aspects of home computing and I currently write regularly for Computeractive, Web User and IT Reviews. I’ve also written extensively about music and film and reviewed CDs for Q for 16 years. More recently, I’ve written general entertainment features for a number of in-flight magazines and am a contributor to Waterlog, the world’s finest angling magazine.

I've written more articles than I care to remember on Windows, Windows programs and the Internet for a number of national newspapers including The Observer and The Guardian and had regular technology columns in the Daily Express and the London Evening Standard. I used to have a copy of Windows 1.0 on a floppy disk - but that’s another story...

Elsewhere, I write a regular fishing
blog which records every trip I make - and occasionally, some that I don’t. If you'd like to know more about anything I've written - or would like me to write something for you - get in touch using the e-mail link at the bottom or by filling in the form on the Contacts page.
